Dash finished his Rally Excellent (obedience) title today at the Badger Kennel Club show in Deforest, WI. Dash’s performance would have earned 100/100… but I lost us 5 points for asking Dash to sit twice during a station whose sequence only called for one sit. Oops!
The judge could have taken off 10 points, but only took 5 because–as he put it–the extra sit actually increased the difficulty level of the station. Our 95/100 was still good for a 2nd place out of seven. This is Dash’s 24th title now in just under 3 years of quite infrequent competition. Yay, Dashy!
